Mohmand Dam, Pakistan

 

 

 

The hydroelectric dam, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, will be used for flood storage, irrigation and hydroelectric power generation, the Pakistan Hydropower Development Agency said. The project is expected to cost $2.2 billion with an annual economic benefit of $369 million and will be completed in July 2024. With a height of 700 feet, the dam will hold water for a power plant with a capacity of 800MW and an estimated annual output of 2,862 GWH.
