In 1996, OVM was selected in the first batch of "National Enterprise Technology Centers". Academician Expert Workstationsand Post-Doctoral Research Stations," had been set up. OVM's academician workstation has hosted guidance from fouracademicians: Xiang Haifan, Zheng Jielian, Hou Baorong, and Chen Zhengqing. In 2017, OVM was named one of the 30excellent model academician workstations out of over 2,000 nationwide.OVM has extensively carried out industry-university-research cooperation with famous universities, made significant scienticachievements.

As of Apil 2024,OVM owned a total of 1320 patenticense,incuding 248 imwemions. OVM has edited or co-edited a total of 118 national and industry standards, including 21 national standards.
