OVM Support Construction of A Super High-Rise Complex in Egypt, A New Model for the Belt and Road on the Mediterranean Coast
Recently, the main tower of the T01 section of the Super High-Rise Complex in New Alamein City, has finished construction up to a height of 200 meters. This super high-rise complex, which uses OVM prestressing system, has entered the final stage of capping and will become one of the top ten high-end comprehensive residential buildings in the world after completion.
The Super High-Rise Complex project in New Alamein City is being constructed efficiently and scientifically. The project includes one landmark tower of approximately 300 meters in height and four high level apartment buildings of about 200 meters, with a total construction area of about 1.09 million square meters.
This new landmark project on the Mediterranean coast in North Africa, which rises from the desert, faces significant construction challenges. Approximately 90% of the slab of this project is prestressed slabs.
When the project was about to start, it’s the time that Covid-2019 spreading all over the world. The OVM team, promoted technical meetings with the owner and consultant online, listen to client’s request and provide proper solution in very short time. At the meantime, OVM also provided offline service with support of it’s local agent. All works were completed professionalism and efficiency. In just one month, we completed various experimental, document reviews and got approval from the owner and consultant. OVM won a bigger share in competition with European supplier.
To date, more than 60,000 sets of OVM prestressed anchorages have been successfully used in this project. After the Central Business District (CBD) project in the new administrative capital of Egypt, OVM has once again demonstrated cooperation between China and Egypt under the "Belt and Road" initiative. While contributing to the urban construction and development of Egypt, it also build up a bridge of friendly exchanges between China and Egypt.
