On April 15, 2024, in Bintulu, Sarawak, the Bintulu-Jepak cable-stayed bridge project celebrated a significant milestone with the completion ceremony of the cable installation for the east tower.
 
The Bintulu-Jepak Bridge project is located in Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia. The cable-stayed bridge connects Jepak Site with Bintulu Town and the construction project is about 5km away from Bintulu Airport—Lepangan Terbang Bintulu.

This project is owned by the Sarawak Public Works (JKR Sarawak), with project management consultancy from OPUS, professional support from consulting firm Konsortium Malaysia, general contracting by PPESW-CCCC JV, and participation by specialized subcontractors OVM and Specialist Engineering Asia for the stay cables. The Director of Public Works Sarawak, Datu Ir. Ts. Richard anak Tajan, personally operated the hydraulic control switch, successfully installing the final strand of stay cable, laying a solid foundation for the ultimate joining and completion of the bridge.
