Liuzhou, 20 July — OVM marked the launch of its self-developed automated ground anchor line by delivering the first commercial order to the Central Yunnan Water Diversion Project. The commissioning ceremony highlighted the production line's operational success.

Automation Redefines Anchor Quality

Ground anchors – key components in prestrssing geotechnical engineering – ensure structural safety for slopes and tunnels. Traditional manual production faced challenges: inconsistent quality, low efficiency, and high labor costs, failing to meet modern mega-project demands.

OVM's Solution: Precision Automation

Using decades of prestressing expertise, OVM engineers spent one year developing an integrated system, enabling end-to-end automated production. The new line can produce 16 ground anchors per day, boosting overall capacity by 40 % compared to manual operations.

The Central Yunnan Project's complex geology and 600km+ alignment demand extreme reliability. Every ground anchor in this inaugural order was manufactured on the new automated line. Rigorous third-party testing confirmed all performance metrics exceed design specifications, demonstrating the line’s capacity for consistent, high-volume output of superior-quality products.
