First Stay Cables Up! Batang Lupar 1 Bridge on Track for 2026 Opening! 

Huge milestone achieved for Sarawak's largest single-structure bridge! On May 17th, the first stay cables were successfully installed on the Batang Lupar 1 Bridge in Sarawak.

We're incredibly proud at OVM to be the specialist sub-contractor of the stay cable system for this monumental 4,844-meter bridge. It's a vital link for the Coastal Road Network of Sarawak, set to replace the ferry and bring safer, more efficient travel to local communities and boost regional logistics.

Featuring an H-shaped main tower and 120 high-durability OVM stay cables, this bridge is a feat of engineering! Get ready for a game-changer when it opens in 2026!
